Proposal:
Utility – Tarraleah Redevelopment Project includes power station, headrace, tunnels, pipelines, pumping station, surge facility, transformer yard and switchyard, transmission lines, access roads and associated infrastructure and works

The above application has been referred to the Board of the Environment Protection Authority for assessment under the Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994 (EMPCA).  An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been lodged in support of the application.

The proponent has referred the proposal to the Australian Government for consideration under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBCA).  The proposal has been determined to be a controlled action (EPBC reference no. 2025/10226). Public consultation for assessment under the EPBCA will be undertaken separately.

A copy of the full development application is available for public inspection during the notification period commencing on Monday 13th April until Monday 25th May at:
