Traffic Diversion

Traffic is currently being diverted through Fourteen Mile Road and Victoria Valley Road due to the fire at the Tungatinah Power Station.

Caution needs to be taken on these roads because the roads are unsealed and may have loose gravel and corrugation in places.

Fourteen Mile Road is used by log trucks and Victoria Valley Road is recommended as a preferred route.

Forest stakeholders are using UHF radio channel 40.

Ouse River Bridge, Waddamana – Update

The Department of State Growth, in consultation with the Central Highlands Council, is investigating options to design and construct a new Ouse River Bridge on Bashan Road after the collapse of the existing bridge in March 2024.
