River Clyde Flood Mapping Study

River Clyde Flood Mapping Study

The Australian Government’s National Flood Mitigation Infrastructure program has provided funding to support the Central Highlands Council to undertake a River Clyde Flood Mapping Study.

The Study will include collecting data to better predict the likelihood and location of future flood events to improve decision making around land use, planning and future development.

The Study will also identify the most effective measures that can be taken to reduce the negative impacts of flood events such as major infrastructure and property damage, destruction of crops, loss of livestock and risks to public health.

This will enable Council to update their Stormwater System Management Plan to improve emergency management planning and response to flood events.

Community consultation is an important aspect of this study and we would like to invite you to complete a short online survey that will assist us in collecting vital information for the Study.

The survey will take 2-3 minutes to complete and can be accessed here.

Share your experiences, memories and photographs of flooding in Bothwell and surrounds by submitting your stories or photographs online at participate@ghd.co or by telephone (03) 6210 0662.
