Better mobile coverage for Central Highlands




Central Highlands is receiving a $21.41 million in mobile black spot funding in a joint state and federal government initiative.

The program will improve mobile coverage along important transport routes, in small communities and in locations which may experience natural disaster such as bushfires.

Mayor Flint said the extra coverage would be a major boost for tourism in the area and that further submissions for expanded coverage would be put forward in the future.

Council are very pleased with the negotiations with Federal Lyons MP Eric Hutchinson . Vodafone customers in Bothwell, Brandum, Hamilton, Miena and Tarraleah will benefit from the latest upgrades while Telstra customers in Cramps Bay also benefit.
